SMS Program Overview
CallDesk (operated by Resident Labs, LLC) offers an optional SMS messaging program that sends appointment reminders, account alerts, and service notifications to users who opt in. This page describes how users consent to receive messages, what messages are sent, and how to opt out.
How Users Opt In
Users must provide affirmative consent before receiving any SMS messages from CallDesk. Consent is collected through the following methods:
1. Signup Form Checkbox
During account creation at 247calldesk.com/signup, users see a clearly labeled, unchecked-by-default checkbox with the following consent language:
“Get reminders and account alerts via text from 24/7 CallDesk. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. See our SMS Opt-In & Program Info.”
The checkbox is not pre-checked — users must actively select it to opt in. The signup form cannot be submitted without the user making a deliberate choice. SMS consent is separate from the required Terms of Service agreement.
2. Account Settings
Existing users can enable or disable SMS notifications at any time through their account settings dashboard. Enabling SMS requires the same affirmative consent action.
3. AI Agent Verbal Consent
During phone calls with our AI assistant, callers may verbally consent to receive SMS notifications (e.g., appointment confirmations). Verbal consent is recorded in the call transcript.
Message Types & Frequency
CallDesk sends the following types of SMS messages to opted-in users:
- Appointment reminders: Notifications about upcoming scheduled appointments
- Booking confirmations: Confirmation when an appointment is scheduled, rescheduled, or cancelled
- Account alerts: Important account-related notifications such as security alerts or service updates
- Pre-call notifications: SMS sent before a scheduled AI phone call with relevant details
Message frequency varies based on your account activity and scheduled appointments. Typical users receive 2–10 messages per month. You will never receive marketing or promotional messages through this program.
How to Opt Out
You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time using any of these methods:

HELPfor assistance or support information - Account settings: Disable SMS notifications in your CallDesk dashboard under notification preferences
- Contact support: Email support@24calldesk.com to request removal
After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further messages will be sent unless you re-subscribe.
Costs & Carrier Information
Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan. CallDesk does not charge for SMS messages, but your carrier may apply standard messaging fees.
SMS messages are delivered via major US carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Service availability may vary by carrier and geographic area.
Data & Privacy
Your mobile phone number and SMS consent data are used exclusively to deliver CallDesk service messages. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or opt-in data with third parties for marketing purposes.
We share your phone number only with Twilio, our SMS delivery provider, solely for the purpose of transmitting messages. Twilio is contractually prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.
